What’s your area of expertise?
I qualified in 2006 and deal with all aspects of commercial and rural property, buying and selling on behalf of companies, individuals of all types. I act for a range of clients from small housing associations to very high net worth individuals, developers, farmers, equestrian businesses including livery and racing yards doing just about every kind of transaction related to owning, occupying, renting, selling or developing property. I have a particular expertise in land and build agreements on behalf of bodies procuring housing of all kinds, from rural affordable housing, social housing to multi million-pound new country houses and urban regeneration sites in landmark locations. I work very hard to understand the whole of my clients’ needs and or businesses so that I can offer sensible, commercial holistic advice that results in a successful transaction as quickly and smoothly as possible.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I love helping people and business get on and achieve their aims. It gives me huge satisfaction to see an individual client happy in their new home, as well as knowing that I am helping companies and businesses to improve and sustain their built environment. Dorset is such a beautiful county it is a privilege to work here and to contribute to its economy and environment.
What makes you tick?
I love the technicality of the law, and seeing that translated into effective, commercial transactions. Being a successful property solicitor is a bit like being a swan, one has to work hard paying attention to detail and getting things right whilst moving swiftly along with the least fuss and commotion!
Outside of work I have three horses at home whom I care for and compete on the County show circuit with. This keeps me sane and focussed on work when messing around with them.
