Artsreach to make its Blandford debut

Blanchards Bailey and the Dorset touring arts charity, Artsreach, have cause for a double celebration, with Artsreach excited to be hosting its first performance in Blandford, the home town of the legal firm, and the team at Blanchards Bailey having recently received outstanding national recognition in the Legal 500.

As part of the autumn programme featuring 69 live events in 50 communities throughout Dorset, Blandford will host its premiere Artsreach show on Saturday 24 November, with an evening of storytelling and music by two leading international performers, Nick Hennessey and Hugh Lupton.

For over 600 years, stories of Robin Hood have held sway in the English imagination and Hugh and Nick, sing and narrate their way deep into the secret, dappled heart of Sherwood. At the same time, they reveal the true and harsher histories of English dissenters, tricksters and radicals in their outstanding show ‘The Liberty Tree’.

It is hoped that the event, which looks set to be a sell-out occasion in Blandford's United Reformed Church Hall, will be the first of many in the market town.

The show will also tour to Chetnole on Friday 23 November, and Sandford Orcas on Sunday 25 November. Full details and tickets can be found by visiting the Artsreach website www.artsreach.co.uk
