Awards joy for Blanchards Bailey

Award-winning Dorset law firm Blanchards Bailey LLP has been nominated for yet more honours.

The firm has been named as a finalist in every eligible category in the 2019 Dorset Legal Awards.

And it is also on the shortlist of just three firms for the prestigious Law Firm of the Year in the 50 to 99 staff category.

Blanchards Bailey is nominated for Team of the Year in five categories: Family, Property, Private Client, Company/Corporate Commercial and Litigation.

All shortlisted firms will be judged in person by an independent panel of notable legal and business professionals, including a ‘mystery shopper’ element, before the winners are announced next March

The independently-run awards received 167 submissions from 17 firms to draw up the 40-strong shortlist.

Expanding Blanchards Bailey, which has offices in Blandford, Dorchester, Shaftesbury and Weymouth, last year scooped the coveted Dispute Resolution Team and Private Client Team titles.

The firm also received a special commendation for Company Commercial Team of the year and was nominated as finalist in a record seven categories, more than any other firm.

Blanchards Bailey Principal and Chief Executive Alan Horne said: “We are overjoyed that our teams have been nominated for these honours in the 2019 Dorset Legal Awards.

“It not only demonstrates that my dedicated colleagues are the best in the business but that they provide high quality legal advice and an exemplary service to our wide range of clients.

“We look forward to 2019 with renewed confidence and a determination that we shall not rest on our laurels but continue to grow the business right across the board.”

The nominations round off an excellent year for Blanchards Bailey which has been recognised more than ever before by the UK's leading law sector directory, the Legal 500.

The annual publication, The Legal 500 2018/19, recommends the firm in a record seven specialist categories with eleven individual lawyers mentioned including all five Partners.

These impressive results make Blanchards Bailey one of the top firms in the UK for the fourth year running and in the top three of Dorset legal firms for the number of categories in which recommendations were given.

Eighty-strong Blanchards Bailey, headquartered in Blandford, has shown particularly strong growth over the past five years, helping fulfil its aim to be the firm of choice in rural Dorset.
