What we do

If you or a loved one is struggling to access care, either because you are unclear about what options are available to you or because you don’t know how to pay for the care you or your loved one needs, you’re not alone.

Our team can help explain the options and advise on a number of funding and care law issues including:

  • Care packages and how to challenge them;
  • Local Authority funding and how to challenge funding decisions;
  • Deprivation of assets and how to avoid it;
  • Estate planning to better protect your assets against care home fees.

Our team also have experience of managing property and finances for clients when they are no longer able to do so themselves, and can assist you with:

  • Preparing Lasting Powers of Attorney;
  • Applications to the Court of Protection (where an individual lacks capacity) for
    • Deputyship Orders to manage their finances and, where appropriate health and welfare and
    • other contentious and non-contentious issues, including but not limited to Statutory Wills and Appointment of Trustee for the sale of jointly held land;
  • Explaining your duties as an Attorney or Deputy; and
  • Management of property and finances on behalf of individuals where we are appointed an attorney or deputy.
