Charity
Every year, our team nominates a charity for our annual support. Throughout the year, we’ll promote, fundraise and volunteer to help them in any way we can. This year, we’re proud to be supporting Mosaic.
Mosaic, established in 2007 and based in Milborne St Andrew, near Blandford, provides a range of support to children and families who have experienced the loss of a loved one either through sudden, traumatic or expected death.

It is a sobering thought that an estimated 2,500 children in Dorset will be bereaved of a close relative every year, equivalent to 48 per week or seven per day. The whole team at Blanchards Bailey are delighted to be able to support this incredibly worthy part of our local community.
So far we have raised an amazing £2,086.43 for Mosaic across our offices. The fundraising has comprised the following:
- At the Dorset County Show in September 2022 the team held a raffle for a lucky winner to get their hands on a ‘wheelbarrow of booze’ (all bottled of course(!))
- For the Wimbledon tournament in July the firm’s social and charity committee organised scones with jam and cream for the team to purchase and eat out on the Stour Meadows while enjoying the summer sunshine.
- During the 2022 football World Cup we held a ‘Three Lions lunch’ – we screened England’s first group stage match in the office where staff could pay a donation to extend their lunch and watch the match with a snack at lunch in our boardroom.
- Every monthly payday, staff are able to ‘dress down’ for a donation of £1.
- Our Blandford office run an ongoing tuck shop which is always very popular!
- Mark Taylor, one of our Senior Associates, makes wonderful jewellery, which he has kindly allowed us to sell and donate an amount from each piece purchased.
- One of our Partner’s sons made personalised Christmas tree decorations with his 3D printer and donates £1.50 from each decoration printed.
