Blanchards Bailey has been shortlisted in Employer of the Year in The Investors in People Awards 2020!

Like all businesses, it is vital that Blanchards Bailey always strives to meet and exceed expectations. One of the most fundamental ways in which we try to do that is through the quality of our service.

As an award winning, Legal 500 recommended law firm, providing high quality legal advice is something Blanchards Bailey is recognised for. However, we could not maintain a constantly high quality of advice without investing in our people.

Our management team make it a priority to recognise and drive forward talent in our junior members of staff especially. In particular, several of our legal assistants are presently undertaking further studies to obtain their professional qualifications. On top of this, we prioritise the mental wellbeing of our staff through flexible working arrangements helping staff to work from home or on flexible hours. This approach creates a culture of leading, supporting and improving within the firm.

We are delighted to announce that, in recognition of our continued investment in our staff, Blanchards Bailey has been shortlisted in Employer of the Year: Accredited 50-249 in The Investors in People Awards 2020.

Since 1991 Investors in People has set the national standard of best practice for training and development in UK workplaces. Employers receiving the Investors in People accreditation are shown to embody the latest workplace leading practices and employee conditions required to create outperforming teams.

In confirming the announcement, Investors in People commented: “You have demonstrated an excellent commitment to investing in your people. This investment has clearly delivered positive results with your success at awards and the progression and career success for some of your people. You clearly work with your teams on embedding your values.”

The announcement comes as we are joined by four new starters in September including Wingwai Tam as a solicitor in the Litigation and Disputes team. A Dorset resident, Wingwai has a background in residential and commercial property which gives her an edge when dealing with property disputes particularly.

Wingwai commented: “I am a natural problem solver and a true believer in the saying ‘honesty is the best policy.’; I will never just tell a client what they want to hear. Instead, I offer a straight talking, realistic and pragmatic approach. I can be relied upon by my clients and my team to be tenacious and not to give up. I have a positive mindset and will always achieve what I set out to accomplish. I am looking forward to putting that mindset to work for the clients of Blanchards Bailey and am thrilled to be part of the team”.

Our staff are friendly, approachable, knowledgeable and motivated to assist clients and professional contacts alike. Do not hesitate to contact someone at the firm if you require some assistance or wish to discuss a matter. We will be shining a light on members of our staff over the coming months and sharing their stories.
