Experience and credentials
Jane has over 35 years of experience in Human Resources. She is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and holds an MA in Human Resources Management (HRM). Whilst lecturing at Bournemouth and Southampton Solent universities, she became a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Since joining Blanchards Bailey in 2016 as HR Manager, Jane has advanced to Head of HR. She has also expanded the firm's HR consultancy service, which initially catered to clients in the education and charity sectors. Jane has successfully broadened this service to support local businesses, including those in the retail, manufacturing and construction industries.
Today, Jane advises on a wide range of HR matters, from recruitment, training and development, retention and reward strategies, performance management, and grievance and disciplinary issues. She’s responsive to urgent matters, and focussed on developing proactive strategies, supported by the Blanchards Bailey’s Employment Law team, where appropriate.

Jane provides a bespoke and personalised service to her clients, ensuring she’s clear about their needs and designing appropriate solutions to address them. She also enjoys applying HR tools and strategies to enable an organisation and its employees to grow and develop, always acting professionally and ethically, with the care of people at the core of her work.
Jane thrives on reviewing and upgrading HR functions at the strategic level. This has been a keen interest of hers for many years, and she’s built a strong reputation in doing this successfully for a wide number of organisations.
As someone who always goes the extra mile, Jane invests time in getting to know her clients so that her knowledge and expertise can be tailored to their context and needs. This means they return to her repeatedly for her advice, confident in the knowledge that she will respond quickly and appropriately at all times.
