What we do

We provide clients in civil disputes with a high-quality service, excellent legal advice, practical guidance and friendly lawyers that are easy to communicate with.

The department has over 80 years of collective experience, plus we draw on expert lawyers from other departments to provide clients with the very best advice. This collective approach means no set of facts or legal issues are being heard for the first time. We specialise in wills, trusts and probate disputes, Inheritance Act claims, commercial contract disputes, winding up of partnerships and companies, debt claims, property disputes, possession proceedings, boundary disputes, negligence claims, agricultural disputes, Judicial Review cases and Court of Appeal disputes.

We provide our clients with our assessment of their realistic prospects of success and work extremely hard with them to be in a position of strength to achieve a favourable settlement or to win at trial.

Each member of the team loves their job and solving problems for clients, no matter the area of law or complexity of the issues involved.

Our fees are reasonable, and we can run cases under various funding arrangements, making litigation affordable.
